The Silent Killers (Team 3)
I apologize for the late posting, I intended to get back to you all much sooner. I've had some crazy days with working two jobs, worrying about finances, Thanksgiving and a 2year old tearing up the place. Speaking of which, I picked up the "Infinity" xbox360 game for me and my family to potentially play together. I'll post more about that probably in my next post, after I've had a chance to explore the game a bit more. I will say now that I was able to get the Venom and Captain Jack Sparrow characters for me, Stitch (Lilo & Stitch) for Dancy, and on Christmas my daughter will be receiving her very own Tinkerbell. But more on that later...
Over the last two posts I have been talking about a series of Fantasy Teams set up to the tune of fantasy football. I first mentioned The Elites, headed up by the intellectual Hannibal Smith from the "A-Team". A group of individuals of versatile skill sets, The Elites have a plan and strategy to get through any situation. The second team was the Crazed Squad, lead by the cunning Joker of the Christopher Nolan movie trilogy. His band of intelligent and prepared, albeit psychotic, experts may not always be 100% orthodox, but they get the job done with more than a little flair.
Now I would like to present my third, final, and perhaps most terrifying team; The Silent Killers.
Heading up this team of relentless warriors is none other than the adamantium-infused James Howlett, more commonly known as Logan, but most widely known as the X-man, Wolverine. Logan is incredibly strong with a healing factor that makes him nearly invincible and essentially ageless. He has over 4 lifetimes worth of experience and over the course of that time he has learned to tame and temper his own inner animal. The three claws that extend from either wrist make him a sight to behold, and while he isn't the smartest, he knows how to use what he knows and what is set before him to get out of a tough situation alive. His time served on a Weapon X fireteam, along with his combat experience in nearly every war the United States has ever fought (and then a few in between) makes him an experienced and skilled leader, especially of rough and hard to manage soldiers.
Seconding The Wolverine's leadership is the alien mercenary, Predator. Stealthy, lethal, with a stregth and stamina to rival any earth-born entity and most from the stars, the Predator is the universe's elite hunter. Living by a "survival of the fittest" honor code and always searching for the next challenge, Predator is smart and intelligent and understands elements of the galaxy around us we never could. The only reason this fearsome alien would not be in the leadership position is its lack of linguistic skill and its desire to hunt alone.
The last two members of the team I am going to talk about together because even though their backstories are immensely different, they both have evolved into very similar creatures. Jason Vorhees and Mike Meyers both are seemingly-supernatural killers who have a MO of silently trodding the night with large, sharp implements. Both of these killers are known for their impassive lifeless masks that hide their faces, their will to live that supersedes death itself, and an uncanny knack for getting their prey no matter how clever or fleet of foot they may be. Intelligent they may not be, but dedicated to their cause they most certainly are. And if anyone could lead these two into a conflict without being gutted and slaughtered it would be The Wolverine.
Calm, disturbingly collected, lethal and whether by science or supernatural force unkillable, the Silent Killers are exactly what their name implies. The invincible Wolverine is at the helm of this creepy and mindless group of killers. Need someone, or something dead? Call the Silent Killers, it will be taken care of without a sound.
I really hope you all enjoyed my fantasy teams. If anyone has any teamup ideas of their own, please post them in the comments. As I said at the beginning of this post, I will be back in a few days talking about either "Disney: Infinity", or with the release of Star Wars 7 so soon I may have something interesting regarding that.
Thank you all for reading, I really appreciate it. I hope you all had an awesome thanksgiving!
~Josh
